A long time ago…
… I may have mentioned the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Well, the coming is a bit more up now, with the release date of December 20th, just in time to ruin a few Christmasses.
I get back from Australia on the 28th. I will be picking this up on the 29th. I will be playing it. This gives them just over a week to recover from the bugs involved in launching the game and all the WoW tourists to either decide they like it or not and stay or bugger off accordingly.
I don’t know what your plans are for January, but if you have a night a week free for MMO as once we did in days of yore, let’s play. I’ll be on an RP server again, that worked well in WoW.
I get nostalgic for MMOs every once in a while, but can’t bring myself to return to Azeroth. This seems like the perfect antidote.
I guess what I’m saying is…

JOIN ME AND TOGETHER WE WILL PISSFART AROUND AN RP SERVER MAKING LIGHTSABER NOISES.
This does sound like fun. Committing to it is the hard part. But winter is coming (*cue the Game of Thrones theme music*) so maybe I can justify it. I’ve heard that the different classes are pretty great to encourage more non-Jedi players.
I’ll probably make a toon and play and then make a toon to group play.
I’m not talking about hardcore instancing or wretched-hiving or whatever they’re going to call it. But even the non-instance stuff is fun with a crew. That’d be the only thing I’d want to nail a time down for…
