Tonight’s installment of Numenera: We’re back again 5 years later because fuck the stupid pandemic and this was fun so we’re playing the rest of it 5 years later what?, found Germain in a few shall we say, interesting, situations. (Yeah it’s Numenera so do I really need to say that?)
Digging down deeper into the tunnels beneath Lone to find a kid named Bazil revealed a few things – well a few things that shall we say, didn’t advance the plot (as far as I knew) but nonetheless entertained the characters and the characters puppet masters all the while.
I… grabbed the tail of a leather-skinned-lizard to prevent them from throwing rocks at Fritz and was pretty successful at it – that’s right I was rolling above 14 on nearly every roll. Turns out, we’ll never find out what this animals deal was because we all were successful at rolling and even though (some of us) we felt bad about killing something that we only had a vague idea was involved in attacking our Aeon priest we still killed it. And took its head. I mean Strabo did.
Germain then managed to get his hands on a cypher that when activated splayed a series of tubes… metal wires that shredded everything within its immediate distance radius, slicing and dicing a menacing robot hell bent on making us just another thing that fucked around in the tunnels beneath Lone and found out. It was right after an amazing natural 20 roll Noe threw to pin a blanket, yep a blanket, cast over his face, semi-permanently (for a few rounds) reducing the chances of hitting it by THREE STEPS.
We took it out. We saved Bazil.
